Therapeutic art sessions inspired by the historic use of landscape painting in the British Army. The art sessions are inspired by the British Army’s use of drawing and painting techniques during the 19th and early 20th Century. The sessions are intended as an introduction to landscape drawing and painting to improve well-being and skills, no matter what your art experience or abilities.

The sessions will be facilitated by: Michael Mulvihill, who is co-convener of the Military War and Security Research Group at Newcastle University, has over 20 years’ experience of working in arts and wellbeing sector. It is hoped that the art works produced will be exhibited in Newcastle University’s Long Gallery.
