Offering support to individuals and families affected by or experiencing problematic alcohol use in North Tyneside

This service is delivered at Meadow Well Connected and other community settings.

Our aims are:-

  • Support and advice around alcohol misuse and its effects.

  • Alcohol awareness, education and support towards a reduction plan.

  • Management of debt/money issues.

  • Referral to other agencies for specific support.

  • Support with routes to work, through volunteering, training and other projects.

SMART Recovery session available every Wednesday from 1.00pm until 2.30pm - this is a peer-led mutual support group and is open to anyone whether they are engaging with our PAUSE project or not.

Recovery Cafe session available every Friday from 10am until 12noon - this is an informal, peer-led support group to bring people together to make social connections, chat about their problems and support one another.
