Beardall Court was opened by Creative Support in November 2004 to provide a high quality purpose built supported living service for adults with a learning disability who require some support to be able to live independently within their own home. Creative Support’s approach is person-centred to meet individuals needs, support is provided on an individualised basis ranging from a few hours of support per week to much larger numbers of hours of support. There is a sleepover staff member based at the service overnight. There are 4 satellite services supported through the Beardall Court staff team, these are, Elton Street , Swan Close and Woodman Street .

A named key worker/s

A package of one to one support hours

Direct support to develop the skills and confidence to live independently, for example support to set up budget plans and pay bills

Advice, guidance, information and signposting

Links into local community services and opportunities

Support to attend medical and other appointments

Help to develop or maintain skills required for running a home, including: cooking, cleaning, shopping, budgeting and assisting with correspondence

Support to access the community so that you can follow an interest and meeting new people

Emotional and social support and reassurance

Support to build the confidence to try new things and gain new skills
