Care Call is a 24-hour support service that is available to anyone in North Tyneside who may feel vulnerable in their home.

Care Call aims to:

  • Increase your confidence and reduce anxiety

  • Offer you more independence

  • Improve your quality of life and wellbeing

  • Provide reassurance for your family members and carers.

You can access three levels of support:

Level 1 - Cost £3.83 per week When you press your community alarm we will talk to you over the speaker to find out what help you need. We can then contact a relative or friend to alert them. We can call 999 if you need immediate medical help, please note this does not include a response from the mobile team.

Level 2 - Cost £6 per week When you press your community alarm we will talk to you over the speaker to find what help you need. We can then contact a relative or friend on your behalf, arrange for a mobile warden to visit you at home or call 999 for emergency medical help.

Level 3 - Cost £9 per week This level of service is ideal for people who would benefit from a few pieces of equipment, feel they might need the assistance of a mobile warden and would like the reassurance of someone visiting them once a fortnight to make sure they are okay.

Technology to help you stay in your own home

As part of the Care Call service, we can offer a wide variety of equipment to improve your security and peace of mind. Examples of technology available Door sensors, Smoke alarms that are linked to the Care Call centre, Prompts and pill dispensers for medication reminders and Bed sensors
