LD:NorthEast provide a wide range of socially inclusive support for families, adults and older people affected by learning disabilities. We support Young people and Adults in our Personalised Support Service one to one with a Personal Assistant or in a small group to access activities in the community. Our Community Inclusion Programme offers group support 10am - 3pm weekdays across the North of Tyne area and includes pick up / drop off in our new mini bus. Every day is different and can include Employment and Volunteering skills, Social Skills, confidence building, friendship, Healthy Living and cooking skills. We also support people to live safely within their home providing 1:1 support with house work, budgeting, shopping tasks and keeping safe. We develop workshops around health living choices and health related issues and also raise awareness on Reporting Disability Hate Crime and bullying. LD:NorthEast run several activities across the week people who use our service can attend, creative arts, music, crafts ,disco's and many more. We have funded projects for children 0-5 and also Adults through various funding grants and are supported by a fantastic team of volunteers.
