You can request information relating to:
- the Council, under the Freedom of Information Act
- you or someone you represent, for example your social care records
- the environment within the Metropolitan Borough of North Tyneside Council

Make a request for information
To make a request for information click the "start a new request" button at the bottom of this page. You will then begin the online process for making a request.
Getting a response
You should get a response within 20 working days when you have made a request under:
- the Freedom of Information Act 2000 or
- the Environmental Information Regulations 2004.
Requests for information about yourself are made under the Data Protection Act 2018. The Authority aims to answer these requests within one calendar month. If your request is complex the Authority has the right to extend this by two further months.
